As part of the Scientific High Level Visiting Fellowships (SSHN) 2022, a visit to Laboratoire d’Imagerie Biomédicale, Sorbonne Université, provided an opportunity to engage with Dr. Jérôme Gateau and the IT2D team. The discussions focused on advancements in imaging and targeted therapy for cancer and inflammation, fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange in biomedical research.

It was a fantastic experience interacting with aspiring students and faculty from IIT Hyderabad, IISER Tirupati, IIT Tirupati, and associated institutions during the DAAD India nRESiDE workshop. We look forward to strengthening Indo-German academic collaborations, fostering global leaders, and driving innovation.

A proud moment for the MITLab team! Pooja Jain, Anusuiya, and Partha Acharya secured the 1st Runners-up award at the PRAGATII Hackathon, organized by iHub Drishti Foundation, IIT Jodhpur. Under the mentorship of Dr. Subhamoy Mandal and Prof. Koel Chaudhury, the team developed an ‘Augmented Reality Enabled SAFE Laparoscopy System.’ Special thanks to Dr. Barnali Ghosh for her guidance and to all contributors for their valuable support in this achievement.

Pooja P Jain (MMST Final Year) achieved the prestigious RISE MICCAI Travel Grant to attend MICCAI 2024 in Marrakesh. She presented her impactful work on “Advancing Laparoscopic Surgery: Addressing Adoption Challenges with User-Centric Augmented Reality Solutions” at CLINICCAI. Her research, supported by IIT Kharagpur AI4ICPS I Hub Foundation, was conducted in collaboration with Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and IRM Kolkata.
